Our second day moving Zinful was spent on the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway (AIWW). The AIWW is a network of waterways, some natural and some man-made, that stretches over 1,100 miles from Key West, FL to Norfolk, VA. Weโll get to travel every mile during our Loop!

We left Key Largo and continued our journey north, traveling through the beautiful Biscayne National Park on our way to Miami. Entering Miami was the first time we encountered heavy boat traffic on this voyage. Tom had the stressful task of navigating through a yacht show, featuring many massive yachts ($$$) with not a lot of room to cruise in between them. He somehow made it look easy though.
Cruising the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway

Our anchorage for the night was just off the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway at Golden Isles Lake, a small protected pocket in Hallandale Beach, surrounded by condo buildings. We had a number of other neighbors, but the area was quiet and watching the sun set was incredible.
