Yanmar 4LH-STE diesel Engines
Yanmar engines sit on both sides of the generator on our aft deck. Each engine is capable of 230 horsepower, for a total of 460 hp!
Diesel Engine maintenance

These diesel engines use the impeller 123325-42021, the impeller kit includes a new o-rings.
The impeller should be replaced every 100 hours or annually, whichever comes first.
Zinc
Our engines’ zinc anode is PN 177301-54900.
The zinc anode should be inspected for degradation monthly, and replaced as needed (when there is little zinc remaining).
Oil & Oil Filter
The oil filter for these Yanmar diesel engines is PN 127695-35160.
The oil and oil filter should be changed every 300 hours, or every season, whichever comes first.
The engines uses 2.5 gallons SAE 15W-40 grade oil EACH.
Fuel Filter
The fuel filter used on these engines are Yanmar 41650-502320 or Baldwin P7103. Both fuel filter kits include and two gaskets which should also be changed at the same time as the filter.
The diesel fuel filter should be changed every 250 hours.
